Librarians from Kyrgyzstan Visit Darke County

Despite lots of snow and poor travel conditions, five librarians from Kyrgyzstan enjoyed a wonderful day in Darke County on Wednesday, March 6. The group first gathered at Worch Memorial Library in Versailles for a tour and discussion of technology in libraries with staff members. Then the delegates, their host families and an interpreter gathered for lunch and conversation with library directors from New Madison, Arcanum and Bradford. Library trustees from New Madison were also part of the lunch group.

It was a wonderful day of information exchange. This visit was coordinated by the Columbus International Program, an affiliate of Open World. All in attendance agreed that citizens love their libraries no matter where they live!
