On Farm Fuel Storage Containment Requirement Webinar

Webinar-March 26, 2013 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM EDT-Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Planning for Farms

Your farm might be subject to the federal SPCC Planning requirements if you store oil (such as diesel fuel, gasoline, hydraulic oil, lube oil, crop oil, vegetable oil, used oil, etc.) in above ground tanks in quantities of more than 1,320 gallons or completely buried tanks with more than 42,000 gallons. The purpose of the SPCC Plan requirements is to help prevent oil discharges from reaching navigable waters or adjoining shorelines. This webinar is hosted by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and will feature a presentation by Barbara A. Carr, Ph.D., SPCC Coordinator, with the U.S. EPA Region 5 and Troy Swackhammer, Chemical Engineer, U.S. EPA.
