Salamander Migration Program!

Join the Darke County Parks for an impromptu program to search for salamanders. This spring has certainly been a chilly one and the sallies have been slow to come! All you have to do is call the Nature Center at 937.548.0165 and leave your name and phone number and we will give you a call when the weather is just right. When we get that first warm, rainy night, we will set out in search for salamanders migrating to their breeding grounds. Local vernal pools will be our first stop to look for signs of breeding salamanders and hopefully we will spot them! This hike will occur in the evening, don’t forget your boots and a flashlight.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy this sure sign that spring has sprung!
