CELEBRATE BLOOD AS PRECIOUS RESOURCE WITH DONOR TOTE BAG
April is about Easter lilies, Earth Day and the arrival of spring – a time to focus on new beginnings and renewing our natural resources. Blood is one of the most precious resources in the cycle of life, and Community Blood Center (CBC) celebrates the ultimate act of recycling with the “Recycle Life – Give Blood” campaign and the donor gift recyclable tote bag.
Everyone who registers to donate blood at any CBC branch and most mobile blood drives beginning Monday, April 8 through Saturday, April 27 will received free the “Recycle Life – Give Blood” tote bag. The logo design features red, iconic recycle arrows integrated with a blood drop.
The tan, mesh tote bag is both sturdy and foldable with a reinforced bottom and double handles. It’s made from 20 percent recycled materials and is 100 percent recyclable and reusable. Consider it an ideal companion while shopping for groceries, toting sunglasses and sandals to the beach or for any outing when you have extra stuff to carry!
It will also make you feel good to both give blood, and to have the “Recycle Life – Give Blood” in hand wherever you go on Earth Day, April 22.
Plus when you register to donate at any Darke County blood drive scheduled Monday, April 1 through Friday, May 31 and you will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a new Char-Broil four-burner propane/natural gas grill.
This special giveaway is sponsored by Lowe’s at 1550 Wagner Ave. in Greenville. The Char-Broil four-burner grill features the Surefire electronic ignition at each burner for a reliable start every time. It easily converts from liquid propane to natural gas, and features porcelain-coated cast iron grates. CBC reminds donors to schedule an appointment to give blood and support patients in need when you are able.
Scheduling your appointment is easy. Go on line www.donortime.com to schedule your own appointment. You can also contact Dana Puterbaugh, Darke County - Account Representative @ 937-997-2199 / dputerbaugh@givingblood.org to schedule your appointment.
Please remember that appointments have priority and Walk –Ins are always welcome as the schedule permits. This just means that if you walk in and all appointments are filled at the time you come to the blood drive we will let you know when the next available appointment is and you have the choice to either wait or come back at the time that is available.
Please always allow 45 minutes to 1 hour to get through the entire process, even if you have an appointment.
