“Our staff at Stillwater was discussing one day how much many of us had been touched by hospice care,” stated Golf Club staff assistant Sue Drees. She said members of the club had been cared for by State of the Heart as well as family members of staff.
“This is a way for us to say ‘thank you’ to State of the Heart for all of the good care the agency provides people in their time of need,” Drees said. The event is open to the public and will be held outside the Number Nine hole on the course.
Performances for “Summer Sounds at Stillwater” will begin at 6 p.m. with the last band beginning at 10 p.m. There is a $5 charge to get in. The bar will be open, draft beer stations set up, and food will be available.
The musicians and bands playing and times are: 6 to 7 p.m., Buff Francis from Versailles; 7 to 10 p.m. DC Connection from Bradford, and Pocket Change from Versailles will wrap up the evening playing from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. “We’re hopeful that we will have a lot of folks attending, following their favorite performers,” Drees said.
