Park District Director, Roger Van Frank was in attendance at the health fair talking with local Whirlpool families and friends about the free and low cost health advantages of using our local County Parks, the Darke County Park District’s Cross-County Tecumseh Trail and County Park District programs to exercise, relax, learn something new, enjoy nature or just have some fun.
These bicycles were part of a collection of lightly used and display model bicycles that could no longer be sold by our local Wal-Mart store and were donated to the Park District during the opening of its Tecumseh Trail project in 2012. Friends of the Park District, Phoenix Bicycle Trail Committee members have taken personal time and talents to make these almost new bikes usable again. Several bikes were given by the Park District to the Darke County Toys for Tots program this past holiday season. The Park District was proud to be a part of this wellness program for our local citizens.
