Okay, THE SCHOOL ISSUE. I'm a senior, and can speak very likely for a few other Greenville seniors.
1. Shiney new schools don't guarantee increased student test scores. Kids deserve good teachers, smart school board members, and attentive parents---THAT insures well educated kids.
2. Lots of seniors depend on savings for income----interest rates on their savings are almost nil----- they would be crazy to increase their expenses right now---and I bet they won't. Offensive accusations about "not liking kids" just irritate "no" voters; and nagging, endless endorsements by well-heeled Greenville citizens just points out that these citizens are blind to the condition of lesser endowed citizens.
