Please help us by donating the following school supplies: Paper (wide and college-ruled), composition books, #2 pencils, blue and black pens, erasers, rulers, glue sticks (twist up), safety scissors, markers, washable markers, highlighters, post it notes, crayons in 16 or 24 packs, single subject notebooks, colored pencils, pocket folders, calculators, pencil sharpeners, pencil pouches/boxes, and/or dry erase markers.
Collection day is Friday, August 2nd from 9am-4pm at the JCPenney parking lot in Greenville and 9am-2pm at the John’s IGA Foodliner parking lot in Versailles. We are fortunate to have volunteers from Wayne Industries, RSVP/Council on Rural Services, and Versailles Modern Mothers groups helping us at the drop-off sites.
If you would like to drop off school supplies before August 2nd, please drop items off at the following locations: Darke County Chamber of Commerce, Darke County YMCA-Greenville and Versailles, Farmers State Bank – Greenville and New Madison Branches, Greenville Federal - main office, Greenville National Bank – Broadway branch in Greenville and branches in Ansonia, Arcanum, Bradford, and Gettysburg, Second National Bank – Broadway branch in Greenville and Arcanum & Versailles branches, Versailles Savings & Loan office in Versailles, McDonalds, and the Darke County United Way Office.
Our goal is to collect 10,000 supplies to give our community’s children the tools to succeed and learn. Thank you Darke County for remembering those who have fallen on harder times, for helping your neighbor, and for trying to better the condition of all in Darke County. Stuff a Bus benefits children in the following school districts: Ansonia, Arcanum, Bradford, Franklin Monroe, Greenville, Mississinawa Valley, Tri Village, Versailles, and Board of Developmental Disabilities. The Blue Angels 4-H club is the generous volunteer group helping the United Way sort school supplies for the Darke County school districts.
Bring supplies out on Friday, August 2nd and receive a McDonalds certificate.
