On July 13, 2013 at approximately 4:58 P.M. Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Rescue, Gettysburg Fire and CareFlight were dispatched to Childrens Home Bradford Road east of Auld Road in reference to the passenger of a motorcycle had fallen off on to the roadway.Upon arrival emergency personnel found the victim, Crystal Werner, 29 of Greenville, Ohio was the passenger of a motorcycle when she fell off on to the roadway, Werner was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the 2000 Yamaha motorcycle, Justin Hiatt, 33, Greenville, Ohio did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
Werner was Airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight where she is listed in serious/critical condition.
The Darke County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene for further investigation.
The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
