The Village of New Madison is accepting resumes for the position of water and wastewater plant operator.
Primary duties include operating plant equipment to control the flow and maintain the proper level of treatment. Monitors water and/or wastewater treatment equipment in order to ensure proper operation; checks chemical supply levels and replenishes as necessary.
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant operating procedures; chemistry; and mechanical maintenance desired. Applicant must have ability to perform standard arithmetic calculations and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must acquire EPA Class I Water and Wastewater Operator licenses within 4 years of employment. Must have valid drivers license.
