Love for Lauren Benefit Raffle Winners Announced

On Sunday Evening September the 8th Lauren Harman’s six year-old daughter Lily, drew the winning tickets in the Love for Lauren Benefit Raffle. Throughout the summer all 5000 tickets were sold.

With the help of modern technology members of the Harman and O’Guin families were able to participate in the drawing from three remote locations.

Miss Lily, dressed in her best game-show assistant’s attire (pictured with dad Andrew and mom Lauren skyping in from the hospital) drew each of the winning tickets:

  • 1st place prize of a 4-day - 3 night stay at ‘Almost Home,’ one of Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s premier luxury cabins, went to Sherri McComas of Beavercreek, Ohio (pictured W/Lauren’s dad Pastor Jeff O’Guin)
  • 2nd place prize of a 60” Plasma HDTV went to Jean Bryan of Zenia, Ohio
  • 3rd place prize of an Apple iPad mini went to Lori Gacke of Beavercreek, Ohio
  • 4th place prize of an Apple TV went to Doug Mayo of Lewisberg, Ohio

The Harman and O’Guin families want to say a special thank you to everyone who participated in making this raffle a big success. Particularly to all of you who either purchased tickets or donated funds or prizes. We are sorry you could not all win a prize, but you have each won a special place in our hearts! Special thanks also go to the various Festivals that allowed us to set up our booth at your events: the Versailles Poultry Days Committee; Xenia First Friday; and The Great Darke County Fair. And of course all those wonderful friends and family members who donated their time and talents to work the booth and sell tickets for the raffle; we will never forget your efforts. Thank-you all very much!

As we have quickly learned the value of every single dollar raised, it will please you to know that all the wonderful prizes for this raffle were donated. Thereby, every dollar raised in this raffle will go directly towards Lauren’s ongoing cancer treatment expenses. As Lauren’s Treatments are expected to run anywhere from $50,000 - $100,000 or more, (most of which will not be covered by insurance), we could really use your continuing help. First of all we covet your prayers for Lauren’s healing and the restoration of her body. Secondly, if your church or civic organization could host some type of fund raiser for her we would be most grateful. Thirdly, monetary donations of any amount can be deposited in the ‘Love for Lauren’ account at any U.S. Bank, or can be mailed to U.S. Bank, 1231 East Main Street Versailles, Ohio 45380. Updates on Lauren can be found by visiting the “Love for Lauren” Facebook page at www.facebook.com/love4lauren.

Thank you all once again for all your help and support as it helps get us one step closer to the goal.
God Bless, the Harman & O’Guin families
