This month's First Friday event brought street performers to downtown Greenville along with several musical acts. As has become the norm on the first friday of every month, businesses remained open late into the evening and there was plenty of varied entertainment to be found. The sidewalks became crowded throughout the evening as people watched the various performers. The atmosphere was very welcoming, as people were milling from store to store, performer to performer, friend to friend, and conversation to conversation.
Among the street performers scattered up and down the street were a magician (pictured above) as well as the belly dancers pictured below.
In addition to all of that, Doug's Pinball brought several retro machines back to The Coffee Pot (including Pac Man!) that are free to play (with donations supporting Main Street Greenville). These machines will remain in the shop all day on Saturday as well.
