Soup on the Lawn at the Museum at Versailles

In days of yore the community gathered to share in whatever they had, from the food, to having fun, and to share in the fellowship with one another. That’s the idea behind our first ever Soup on the Lawn. Thanks to our friend, Roger Henry, who will be preparing old fashion bean soup in the brisk autumn air. Delicious homemade corn bread with honey and fresh beverages to quench your thirst will also be available. All of these wonderful items will be available at different stations all for a donation. The proceeds from this event will be used toward our new parking lot.

So why not plan to join us on September 22nd for our “Soup on the Lawn” beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 or gone. Bring your lawn chair to sit a spell. Historic tractors and cars are encouraged to come and park at the museum and some good ole music from yesteryear may fill the air. If you haven’t been through the museum, this would be a great time to visit or come back for another look at what we can all do by all working together.

We’ll be looking for you!
