DC Elite 99 Beats Grand Lake United

DC ELITE 99 traveled to Botkins on a rainy Sunday evening to play undefeated Grand Lake United. When the game started, it was not raining but the possession and shots on goal were by the ELITE 99. Half way through the first half, it started raining pretty hard. With 15 min left in the first half Adison Ernst of DC finally found the back of the net from a rebound off the keeper. DC's defense held strong and only allowed 2 shots in the first half.

The second half started wet and windy, but that did not stop the ELITE from possessing the ball and getting shots on goal. Half way through, Brice Robison beat a defender and finished to put DC up 2 goals to 0. With 10 min left a slip from a DC defender allowed a goal from Grand Lake United, which gave them a little steam, and they started to pressure and get a few shots on goal. DC's Brice Robison was on the end of a quick transition from the defense, dribbled to goal line, and crossed with Reed Brammer supporting at the far post to finish the cross, but was called offsides and goal was taken away.

DC's defense stayed strong and the game finished 2-1 to keep the ELITE 99 undefeated and 3 points out of first place in their league.

They face Grand Lake United again Friday night October 11 at 5:45 at Darke County Fairground fields.
