DC Elite Begin Fall Season with 2 Wins

DC Elite 99 of Darke County Soccer started their fall season with MVYSA league. They came away with a 12-1 win on Sept. 8 in New Carlisle against Tecumseh Arrows. They had a total of 25 shots and scored 12. Reed Brammer led the team with 4 goals, while Braydon Diceanu had 2, and Sam Boston, Bryce Robison, Parker Hesler, Kyle Ressler, Tani Mancillas, and Ethan Coppess each had 1. DC had a lot of possession and good build up, only allowing 1 goal in the first 30 seconds of the game.

DC Elite 99's second game was on Sept. 15 in Huber Heights at the Warrior Complex. DC came away with a 2-0 win against the tough Warrior team. DC had a little less possession than the first game but had goals by Sam Boston and Reed Brammer in the first half. DC Elite's defense kept the tough Warrior offense away from the goal to maintain the shut-out. DC's goalie Cole McGlinch had 8 saves to stop the shots by the Warriors.

DC Elite 99 played at home against Springfield Thunder and claimed a 4-2 win. DC had a lot of possession with goals by Bryce Robison with 2. Reed Brammer and Tani Mancillas with 1. The defense for DC stopped the opportunities made by Springfield by staying physical without fouling. Springfield scored by a penalty kick and a long run down the middle of the field and buried in the back of the net. Cole McGlinch had 5 saves in goal for DC.

Look for future results when DC Elite travel to Botkins to play the undefeated Grand Lake United team. They are also preparing for the Fall Warrior Classic tournament Oct 26-27 where they will play teams from all over Ohio and Kentucky.
