MVCTC Programs Recognized at Southwest Ohio School Board Association Meeting

MVCTC School Board Member, Mrs. Joy Weaver,
was selected as an “Outstanding Board Member for the
Southwest region” at the Southwest Ohio School Boards
Association Fall Meeting.
The Southwest Region Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) has selected three Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) programs as “Outstanding” at the Fall Meeting. This annual award ceremony recognizes outstanding programs that promote student achievement. The 2013 Fall Meeting was held at Sinclair Community College on October 10.

The three programs being recognized included:

  • “MVCTC Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE)” received recognition as Multi District Impact program
  • “MVCTC Senior Community Service Program” received recognition as an “Outstanding Volunteer Program”
  • “MVCTC Robotics and Automation Program” received recognition for being selected to participate in the 2013 Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) Student Achievement Fair at the Capital Conference in Columbus this November

Also being recognized at the 2013 Fall SW OSBA Meeting was MVCTC School Board Member, Mrs. Joy Weaver. Mrs. Weaver serves on the MVCTC Board of Education as a representative for the Montgomery County ESC; she was selected as an “Outstanding Board Member for the Southwest region” and will be honored at the Capital Conference as well.
