Annual Turkey Trot Raises Funds For State of the Heart Hospice
The seventh annual Cooper Farms annual Turkey Trot 5 K Run was held Saturday, November 2 and raised $2,500 for State of the Heart Hospice.
Over the last seven years, the annual run has raised $18,000 for State of the Heart. “When we started the 5 K run, we did it with the intentions of focusing on wellness, not only within our company, but the community at large,” stated Susie Fortkamp, a Cooper employee, who organizes the annual race. “We thought doing it for State of the Heart was a great idea and a good charity to direct the funds to.” She said the event will continue again next year.
