Public Announcement

The Village of Union City intends to contract for engineering and surveying services in connection with the
following two (2) projects:

• Deerfield Road Neighborhood Improvements: This project includes the design of storm sewer utilities, curb and sidewalk, partial full-depth street reconstruction, pavement planning, and street resurfacing on Deerfield Road from Elm Street to Main Street. Anticipated engineering design timeframe is December, 2013 through April, 2014
• Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation: This project includes the design and administration of sanitary sewer lining and manhole rehabilitation in the northwest area of the'Village. Anticipated engineering design timeframe is December, 2013 through February, 2014.

Professional engineering services will be required for design, the bidding process, grant administration, and construction engineering services. The engineering firm shall demonstrate experience with similar type projects as well as working with the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) and the Ohio Development Services Agency. Funding sources include an OPWC grant, Community Development Block Grants, and local'Village funds.

Statements Qualifications should include information regarding the firm‘s history, education and experience of owners and key technical personnel, the technical expertise of the firm’s current staff, the firm’s experience in designing similar projects, availability of staff, the firm’s equipment and facilities, professional references, and any other work performed for the Village of Union City or the surrounding area.

Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide the required services for one or both of the projects described above should send or deliver three (3) sets of Statements of Qualifications to the Village of Union City, 419 East Elm Street, Union City, Ohio 45390 no later than November 27, 2013. A cover letter should be included which indicates the qualifications for which project (8) are being submitted. Statements received after this deadline shall not be considered.
