Boys and Girls Club of Greenville Thank Lambda Phi Sorority

Boys and Girls Club of Greenville, Inc., 613 South Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331,937.547.1122, would like to give a big “Thank You” to the wonderful ladies of the Lambda Phi Sorority for their generous donations to the Boys and Girls Club this year! Their latest donation is for the kids' Christmas Party, which is so much appreciated! Pictured are some of the kids, Carolyn Hemmelgarn, sorority president, Becky Mullenkamp, Susan Shaar, and Boys and Girls board members Tom Jenkins and Rita McCans.

The mission of the Boys and Girls Club is to provide, manage and control recreational and educational facilities for young boys and girls in the City of Greenville and Darke County, Ohio.

Their hours of operation are from 4-8 pm Monday-Friday and Saturday afternoons. The BGC provides supervision and other means and facilities for properly directing and encouraging healthful, interesting activities for young boys and girls. The organization has traditionally provided services to low-income “at risk” youth ages 7-15 in the community with such activities as games, crafts, multi-purpose activities, a work-woodshop for both boys and girls, County Fair projects, and other activities and services. All activities are supervised by a professional staff. The Club also has a “Christian Mission” of teaching children respect for themselves (self-esteem, drug education, etc.,) respect for property (anti-vandalism) and respect for others (conflict resolution, etc.) and to this end works with Youth for Christ Campus Life and other religious organizations in the Community.
