First Author’s Night This Friday

Marla Fair

The first Friends of the Library’s Author’s Night on January 10th will feature author, artist, and historic interpreter Marla Fair. Marla writes in two different genres, historic fiction and fantasy - AND works at the Johnston Farm & Indian Agency in Piqua, has painted three series of original art, and even restores antique dolls! Her presentation could be about many things.

Marla attended the University of Cincinnati and Edison College with a major in Fine Art and a minor in History. She teaches classes in colored pencil at the Hayner Cultural Center in Troy and does pieces for David Fair Designs & Winans Candies in acrylic and gel.

She is also a member of the Troy Historical Society where she studies Irish heritage and genealogy. She is the founder of the Gallimaufry Writing Group and self publishes. At the Johnston Farm you can find her dressed in period clothing giving a tour of the farmhouse!
