Lucet Weaving

Join the Darke County Parks on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00pm if you are interested in learning the basic technique of cord making. Braided cord is accomplished by using a small handheld tool, a lucet, and pearl cotton thread. With the lucet you can create a square braid similar to spool knitting. Your end product can be used for multiple projects such as a drawstring bag, decorative cording on a jacket, button loops, lacing on clothing, etc. Space is limited so sign up today by calling the Nature Center at 937.548.0165. The fee for the program is $8. For more information on all programs offered by the Darke County Parks, please visit our website at www.darkecountyparks.org
