MVCTC Hosts Boy Scout Merit Badge Academy

Clayton, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) hosted the first Boy Scout Merit Badge Academy for over 100 local scouts on Saturday, February 1. Sessions were offered in art, chemistry, crime prevention, emergency preparedness, environmental science, first aid, game design, geology, home repairs, salesmanship, search and rescue, sustainability, and veterinary medicine.

MVCTC instructors volunteered their time to work with the Miami Valley Boy Scout Council to offer two Saturday sessions that will allow scouts to earn at least three Merit Badges and as many as nine Merit Badges.
