CAP plans shopping trip for Seniors 60+

Darke County Seniors 60+ will be able to take a shopping trip March 21 provided by Community Transportation, a service provided by Community Action Partnership of Darke County.

Community Action Partnership of Darke County is planning a shopping trip to Meijer’s in Troy on March 21, 2014, for Darke Co. Seniors 60+. Denise Purnhagen, Transportation Coordinator, said, “It’s been quite a while since we’ve gotten a shopping trip together, so we set a date for Seniors to get together and go to Troy. It’s a convenient way to get some additional shopping done in other places.”

Purnhagen went on to say, “Anyone wishing to take this trip is asked to call 547-9129 by March 19, 2014. Our driver will be leaving at approximately 2:00 pm and Community Transportation will pick anyone up and take them home, if needed, or they can meet here.” She went on to say the suggested donation for the round trip is only $3.00.
