Dr. Rehan J. Ahmed spoke on February 27, 2014 at a lunch and learn hosted by Versailles Health Care Center in celebration of February as National Heart Health Month. He shared his presentation “Managing Cardiac Medication and What Can Contraindicate with It”. Dr. Ahmed also held a question/answer session following his presentation.
Dr. Ahmed completed a Cardiology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency at Garden City Hospital in Michigan, and received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He holds a Masters of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He and his wife, Sebreena, live in Troy, OH with their two sons, Aayan, age 3, and Abraham, age 1. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and traveling. Dr. Ahmed’s philosophy towards patient care is this, “Although, I’m a heart doctor, you have to treat the patient as a whole and evaluate how their overall problems are affecting their heart and their well-being. If you concentrate on only one aspect of the body, you miss the big picture.”
Dr. Ahmed and his staff at Sidney Cardiology may be reached, Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, at 937-494-5244.
