Speaker Brian Kight, Director of Performance, Focus 3. |
“I’m excited to have such a well known and successful speaker presenting this year’s training,” said Cheryl Stiefel-Francis, Academy for Community Leadership Committee Member. “You can’t control the event that disrupts your daily routine but you can control how you respond which will have either a positive or negative impact on the outcome. I encourage business and not-for-profit industry leaders to attend with their team members so we can learn these principles together.”
This year’s program will feature Kight, a sought after speaker and consultant on the topics of personal, team and organizational performance. Clients consistently seek Brian for his engaging style, sense of humor, and breakthrough ideas for producing results in the twenty-first century. He goes beyond mere motivational talk and challenges audiences to take action by providing specific skills and tools that can be used immediately.
As the Director of Performance at Focus 3 since 2005, Brian has worked extensively with healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, professional services, athletics, government, and not-for-profit organizations. His work has taken him across four continents and dozens of countries, speaking to audiences of every age, profession, and culture.
During the conference, Kight will speak about a game-changing program called “The R Factor,” developed by Dublin, Ohio based company Focus 3. “The R Factor” teaches a simple but powerful set of rules, which apply personally and organizationally, to the only thing in your control–how you respond.
For the past 25 years, Focus 3 has led organizations, including the Ohio State football team, to extraordinary results. “The R Factor” helped Ohio State Head Football Coach, Urban Meyer lead the team to a record-breaking 24–0 winning streak, the longest ever in 120–years of iconic tradition at the University.
“It has been one of the most profound experiences I’ve been around,” said Urban Meyer. “I’m 49 years old and I’ve learned more from those leadership classes than the players.”
This annual conference is made possible through the support of The Duke Foundation.
Registration for the event is preferred by Friday, May 16 to ensure a seat.
