On March 12, 2014 the Darke County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit along with Darke County Deputies and officers from the Greenville Police Department conducted a meth buy/bust operation in Greenville, Ohio.

Arrested was Jesse James Phipps (26) of Dayton. Phipps was taken into custody without incident and is currently being housed at the Darke County Jail where he awaits formal charges of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs and Aggravated Possession of Drugs, both of which occurred within 1000 feet of Greenville Junior High, which enhances the penalties, should Phipps ultimately be convicted of the charges.

Provided that the official weight of drug matches the preliminary weight, Phipps could be facing mandatory prison time.
