Preferred Insurance Center of Coldwater recently presented State of the Heart Hospice with a check for $690 for funds generated during the month of February with the agency, benefiting State of the Heart. During February for every quote the agency gave to someone interested in insurance, $10 was directed to the nonprofit agency from Preferred Insurance Center.

“This check from February brings the total generated for our agency by the “Quotes for Causes” program initiated by Preferred Insurance Center to over $7,000,” stated Ryan Gathard, Fund Development Director for State of the Heart Hospice. “Preferred Insurance Center continues to be one of our biggest supporters, doing so much to help our agency.” The affiliation with Preferred Insurance Center began in 2012.

Preferred Insurance Center was the presenting sponsor for State of the Heart’s Initial “Heart & Sole 5K” that was held February 15 at Rossburg Acres. That event raised over $10,000 for State of the Heart, a nonprofit agency that cares for patients and families in eastern Indiana and western Ohio who are confronting a life limiting illness. The agency has offices in Coldwater, Greenville and Portland.

“We are always looking for ways to show any kind of support we can for charities such as State of the Heart Hospice,” stated Matt House, Marketing Manager for Preferred Insurance Center.” Speaking of the “Quotes for Causes,” House added, “We view this project as a way to give back to the community which has supported our agency for so many years.” In 2012, Preferred Insurance Center observed its 100th anniversary of service to area communities.

Preferred Insurance Center had four charities that participate in the “Quotes for Causes” campaign. They are on a monthly rotating basis. The next month at funds will be directed to State of the Heart will be June.
