Versailles Savings & Loan Co. CEO Ahlers to Retire

Open House set for June 30th

A retirement reception for Doug Ahlers, President & Chief Executive Officer, will be held Monday, June 30th. Please join us as we celebrate Doug’s 38 years in banking, including 22 years at Versailles Savings & Loan Co.

A graduate of Fort Loramie High School and Wright State University, Ahlers began his banking career in 1976 with the Loramie Banking Company. Doug came to Versailles Savings & Loan Co. in 1992.
“While working at the Versailles Savings & Loan Co., I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people,” Ahlers said. “With the support of our customers, staff, directors & stockholders, the Savings & Loan has seen tremendous growth during my tenure as President. I am very grateful to have worked with so many wonderful people in Versailles and our surrounding communities. It has been a privilege to be associated with such a strong & respectable financial institution for so many years.”

As a local banker, Doug has been involved in numerous civic organizations including the Greater Area Foundation, Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce, Versailles Civic Improvement Committee, Versailles Lions Club, Heritage Park Board, Versailles YMCA Capital Campaign, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, West Ohio Development Council & Kiwanis & Rotary of Sidney.

While Ahlers will remain on the Board of Versailles Savings & Loan, he and his wife Rebecca, look forward to traveling and spending time in Florida, Colorado and Versailles.

The public is invited to an open house with refreshments and light snacks, held at the Versailles Savings & Loan Co., 10413 Kley Rd., from 6-8 pm on Monday, June 30th.
