Edison’s Peltier appointed to national human resources board

Edison Community College’s Vice President of Strategic Human Resources, Linda Peltier, has recently been appointed to serve on the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Chosen for her competencies, Peltier joined the national board as an At-Large Director for a three-year term effective July 1.

“As one of 16 CUPA-HR board members, it’s an honor and a privilege to be working side-by-side with colleges from around the country,” said Linda Peltier. “I look forward to serving on the Learning and Professional Development committee, as well as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee of the Board.”

As an engaged employee of Edison, Peltier has been a member of CUPA-HR for the past ten years. She has served as president-elect, president, and recently completed a year as immediate past president of the association’s Ohio Chapter. She has spent the past three years on the CUPA-HR Midwest Region’s annual conference planning committee and presented at the region’s 2013 conference.

Employed at Edison Community College since 1994, Linda has spent the last eight years of her career as the driving force in transforming the institution’s human resource office from a traditional campus to a strategic campus. Since implementing strategic human resource processes, greater emphasis has been placed on upholding employee success and retention at Edison.


“I have a passion to empower others to succeed and am dedicated to providing leadership in maintaining values across campus that promote a healthy and positive environment,” added Peltier. “I believe that these strategic planning efforts, in line with the College’s Strategic Master Plan, will aid in supporting the recruitment and retention of employees which, in turn, will support student success.”

In addition to CUPA-HR, Linda is actively involved with the Hahn-Hufford Center of Hope Rehabilitation Center and Nicholas School, the Ohio Association of Community Colleges Human Resources and Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce Human Resource Council. Earlier this year, she was selected to attend the American Association of Community Colleges’ John E. Roueche Future Leaders Institute.
