On September 1st, 2014 at approximately 4:47 p.m., 9-1-1 operators at the Darke County Sheriffs Office received a report of a black male who was found inside of an occupied residence at 3375 Ritenour Road. Deputies responded to the scene but the suspect had left the residence. Deputies learned the name of the suspect to be William Taylor from Arcanum, Ohio. Deputies responded to William Taylor’s residence 6 South Main St. and spoke to William Taylor. Taylor admitted to walking into the residence without being invited in. Once inside the residence Taylor was confronted by a juvenile who was familiar with Taylor. Taylor fled the scene but was located a short time later and placed under arrest for burglary.
This case has been forwarded to the Darke County Prosecutors Office for further review.
