Man Charged with Felonious Assault After Deliberately Running Over a Pedestrian in Greenville

On September 2, 2014 at about 1953 hrs. officers responded to the 400 Block of E. Fourth St. on a report of a possible injury accident. Upon investigating the incident, officers were able to determine that James Stewart, while operating a motor vehicle, deliberately and with the intention of causing serious bodily harm struck the victim, Benjamin Jones.

Benjamin Jones was taken by Care-Flight to Miami Valley Hospital. James Stewart was transported to Wayne Hospital for evaluation, and then taken to the Darke County Jail where he is being held on a charge of Felonious Assault.

This case is still under investigation.
