Ashlee Carder, of Minster, has been hired as a Music Therapist and bereavement support specialist by State of the Heart Hospice. She will work from the agency’s Coldwater office. State of the Heart cares for patients and families in eastern Indiana and western Ohio who are confronting a life limiting illness. The agency has other offices in Greenville and Portland.
“I completed my music therapy internship at State of the Heart and found a passion working with hospice patients and families,” she explained. After her internship, she completed her requirements for Board Certification and returned to the agency as an employee. She graduated from Ohio University and is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She joins Amy Pearson who is a Music Therapist with the agency. The agency has an intern with the program also.
