The Rehab Clinic at Versailles Health Care Center celebrated National Rehabilitation Awareness Week September 22nd through the 26th. The therapists at VHCC devote themselves to improving patients’ quality of life, health and mobility. The week-long celebration featured a complimentary cookout on Wednesday, September 24, in the courtyard. During that time, community members stopped in for lunch and toured the short-term rehab unit and rehab clinic. WTGR also broadcasted live during the event and highlighted four “Did you know…?” segments. The first, “Did you know that the experienced therapy team at VHCC has a combined tenure of 65 years?” Second, “Did you know that Versailles Health Care Center has sent 131 people home from its short-term rehab unit so far this year?” Next, “Did you know that Versailles Health Care Center offers extensive outpatient therapy services?” Finally, “Did you know that Versailles Health Care Center offers premier orthopedic rehabilitation services?” Scott Ward from WTGR also interviewed those in attendance during the live show, including Dr. Donald Pohlman, who has been the Medical Director at Versailles Health Care Center for over 20 years, along with physical therapists, Stephen Winner and Gina Boerger.
