WHIO: Greenville Sonic One of Several to Abruptly Close

WHIO is reporting that the Greenville Sonic is one of 3 regional restaurants to close, effective today.

Rick Fee — operations director for Bowling Green, Kentucky-based Houchens Industries, the franchisee of Sonic Drive-In locations across the Dayton region — said the three stores were shut down “purely due to underperformance.” There are no plans to close any of the other 22 Sonic Drive-Ins in the region, Fee said.
