Darke County Center for the Arts will present comedian Dan St. Paul at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 15; the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available to purchase. |
According to Mr. Rawlins, Dan St. Paul bases his routine on his life as a husband and father dealing with the frustrations of everyday life. “Dan combines a sharp, clean wit with an outstanding talent for creating characters to appeal to audiences of all ages,” Rawlins explained. “He doesn't just tell jokes, but creates a series of comedic events that make you smile and then get you to laughing so hard you don't think you can ever stop,” Rawlins concluded. Dan St. Paul has headlined at comedy clubs, and appeared on several episodes of “An Evening at the Improv” plus numerous shows on VH-1, MTV, and Comedy Central. He has opened for diverse performers including Jerry Seinfeld, Smokey Robinson, and Vince Gill as well as the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, a group that St. Paul says he knew “when they were just a garage band.”
The performance by Dan St. Paul is sponsored by Second National Bank. Additionally, the Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. DCCA also receives operating support from the Harry D. and Esther Stephens Memorial as well as funding from the Ketrow Foundation and Lydia E. Schaurer Memorial Trust Fund.
Tickets for the Dan St. Paul show cost $20, and can be reserved by contacting DCCA at 937-547-0908 or dcca@centerforarts.net, or purchased at DCCA's office located within Greenville Public Library, as well as online at www.CenterForArts.net.
