On November 11, 2014 at approximately 1:56 PM Darke County Deputies along with Union City Rescue, Southwest Mercer County Fire and CareFlight were dispatched to the intersection of McFeeley-Petry Road and Light Road in reference to a two vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a white 1998 Ford F-150 driven by Dennis W. Brewer, 56, Ft. Recovery Ohio was south bound on Light Road approaching the stop sign at McFeeley-Petry Road. Brewer failed to yield after a clearly marked stop sign traveling into the path of a tan 2005 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by Christina M. Neels, 28, Union City Indiana.
Both Brewer and Neels were treated and released from the accident scene. Neels' two year old rear seat passenger was restrained in a child safety seat, the two year old was transported to Dayton Childrens Hospital by CareFlight with non life threatening injuries.
Dennis W. Brewer was issued a citation for failure to yield after a clearly marked stop sign.
