‘TIS THE SEASON TO ‘BE A DEER’ & DONATE BLOOD
DAYTON & Darke County, Ohio –Darke County Area Groups and Community Blood Center (CBC) will host a holiday season blood drives. As a special seasonal gift to donors, everyone who registers to donate will receive the limited edition “Be A Deer – Donate Blood” long-sleeve t-shirt featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com.
The navy blue long-sleeve t-shirt features a golden reindeer silhouette with “Be A Deer” between his antlers and “Donate Blood” below his red nose. It’s free to everyone who registers to donate Monday, Dec. 15 through Saturday, Jan. 3 at any CBC Donor Center and most CBC mobile blood drives.
The Christmas and New Year holiday period can be a challenging time for CBC to supply its 25 partner hospitals in 15 area counties with the blood they need. Donation schedules are easily disrupted this time of year due to holiday activities, school vacations and family travel, and winter weather. CBC asks that if you miss a chance to donate please reschedule when you can.
