On December 31, 2014 at approximately 2:45 PM Darke County Deputies along with Pitsburg Fire and Arcanum Rescue were dispatched to the 8300 block of Pitsburg-Laura Road in reference to a rollover accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed a green Ford truck driven by Bruce A. Swigart, 43, Miami County was eastbound on Pitsburg-Laura road entering the village of Pitsburg. Swigart lost control of his vehicle traveling off the right side of the roadway. Swigart over corrected traveling off the left side of the roadway causing the vehicle to overturn. Swigarts vehicle traveled into two church signs coming to rest on it's top.
Swigart and his 16 year old female passenger were treated and released at the scene by Arcanum Rescue.
Swigart was arrested for OVI and Endangering Children, he was transported to the Darke County Sheriff's Office Jail.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
