Annual Turkey Trot Raises Funds For State of the Heart Hospice

The eighth annual Cooper Farms annual Turkey Trot was held Saturday, November 1 and raised $1,000 for State of the Heart Hospice. Over the last eight years, the annual run has raised $19,000 for the nonprofit agency which has offices in Coldwater, Greenville and Portland. “When we started the 5k run, we did it with the intentions of focusing on wellness, not only within our company, but the community at large,” stated Susie Fortkamp, a Cooper employee who organizes the annual race. “We thought doing it for State of the Heart was a good idea and a good charity to direct the funds to.” The event will be continued next year.
