TASKS, Inc. Awards Grants to Three Darke County Organizations

On March 22nd, TASKS, Inc. (Teaching About Safety Kids Style) presented checks to three Darke County organizations dedicated to teaching our county youth about safety. These are the initial awards given by TASKS, Inc., which has been raising funds since mid-2014. Those organizations receiving funds were Versailles Bike Rodeo for use during their annual event on June 6th, Darke County Fire Chiefs Association for educational materials at the Great Darke County Fair, and Rage and Rocko the Dalmation Duo for their continuous fire safety efforts in the schools, festivals, parades, and child parties.

TASKS, Inc. was founded to help fund youth safety initiatives in the Darke County area. Based in Versailles, this organization came into existence in late 2012 and received approval from the IRS to operate as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in June 2014. Support thus far has come from a combination of personal, corporate, and trust donations from throughout the county.

Below, TASKS President Scott Garrison, along with board members Dan Watren, Ken Livingston, Ted Braun, Bob Frey, Brian Pearson, and Brian Griesdorn, present checks to Allen and Nancy Keaser of the Dalmation Duo, Crystal Buteau of Versailles Bike Rodeo, and Osgood Fire Chief Frank Miller representing Darke County Fire Chiefs Association.
