Contestants still needed to win the $1,250 Grand Prize

Stars in the Park 2015 talent competition presented by the Jay County Chamber of Commerce will begin later this summer. We are now recruiting talent to audition for this year’s event. The competition offers a grand prize of $1,250 and a total prize package of $2,500. For contest rules and an audition form, go to www.StarsinthePark.com and enter by May 29th. Auditions will be held the latter part of June.

In 2014, we held four quarter-final events featuring 64 local and regional contestants. On August 15th we held our semi-final and final competition awarding $2,500 in prizes to five different artists. The event was an overwhelming success. Stars in the Park 2015 stands to be the richest talent competition and the entertainment event of the Summer in East Central Indiana. Stars in the Park 2015 is open to individuals or small groups involved in singing, dance, playing an musical instrument, comedy, cheerleading, gymnastics, ventriloquism, acrobatics, magic, impressions, juggling or any number of other abilities that can be showcased on stage. The talent competition is spread over 7 nights during the summer in conjunction with the Berne, Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Hartford City, Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Five of the seven events will be held at the Amphitheater at Hudson Family Park on South Wayne Street in Portland, Indiana.

We would love to have your students and area represented in our competition. If you could help us spread the word to schools, voice and dance schools in your area, we’d really appreciate it.
