Pets of the week


GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week they've selected:

Dotti is a 2 year old Blue Tick coondog mix. She is tri-color, spotted and with short hair. She is a sweet girl and loves people. She has big brown eyes which will melt your heart. She will make a great companion and is ready for adoption.

Aurther is a 2 year old Wolf Hound/Terrier mix. He is reddish brown with long hair. He is a friendly guy and weighs around 70 pounds. He will make a great friend and walking buddy. He is ready for adoption.

Turbo is a 2 year old Catahoula Leopard dog. He is mostly black with some brown and white. He has short hair. He is a sweet guy and will make a wonderful companion. If some one is looking for a special dog, Turbo is the one. He is super friendly and is a people dog. He weighs around 50 pounds. He will make a great friend and walking buddy. He is ready for adoption.

They also have a Min-pin, a Wolf-hound mix, a Shepherd/Lab mix, a Catahoula Leopard dog mix, a Shih-Tzu, a Papillon and numerous other dogs as well as cats and kittens for adoption.

The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.

With summer around the corner, be sure your 4 legged friends are current on their vaccines and ready for fun.
