Stars in the Park Seeks Entries for Talent Competition

The Jay County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for our third Stars in the Park talent competition. Last year we held four quarter-final events featuring 64 local and regional contestants. On August 15th we held our semi-final and final competition awarding $2,500 in prizes to five different artists. The event was an overwhelming success. Stars in the Park 2015 stands to be the entertainment event of the Summer in East Central Indiana. For pictures of last year’s event, click here: Stars in the Park 2014

We are now recruiting talent to audition for this year’s event. We offer a grand prize of $1,250 and a total prize package of $2,500. For rules and to schedule an audition, go to www.StarsinthePark.com and enter by May 29th.

Stars in the Park 2015 is open to individuals or small groups involved in singing, dance, comedy, cheerleading, playing an musical instrument, gymnastics, ventriloquism, acrobatics, magic, impressions, juggling or any number of other abilities that can be showcased on stage. The talent competition is spread over 7 nights during the summer in conjunction with the Berne, Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Hartford City, Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Five of the seven events will be held at the Amphitheater at our new Hudson Family Park in Portland, Indiana.

We are soliciting talented groups and individuals to register for auditions. Contestants must register by 5/29/15. Auditions will be held the latter part of June.
