Reid team takes HIP, insurance signups ‘on the road’

Reid’s patient financial team is taking insurance sign-ups and information “on the road” over the next few weeks to reach people who need coverage.

Team members and information will be available about the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) and other programs at these locations and dates:

• Siloam Clinic, 1024 East Main, 5 to 6 p.m., July 7, 14, 21, 28, Aug. 4, 11, 18, and 25.
• Third Grade Academy Graduation, Civic Hall, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., July 10.
• New Beginnings/Fairview Carnival with State Sen. Jeff Raatz, 56 Northwest H Street, Richmond, health screening from 10 a.m. to noon, HIP signups from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. July 11.
• Gleaners Truck, Townsend Center, 855 North 12th Street, Richmond, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 14 and Aug. 11.
• Birth to Five Community Resource Night at the RiverRats, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., July 18.
• Excel Center, 1215 South J Street, noon to 1 p.m., July 21, 28, Aug. 4 and 11.
• Gleaners Truck, Hagerstown Methodist Church, 199 South Perry, Hagerstown, 10 a.m. to noon, July 23 and Aug. 23.
• Back to School Bash, 10th Street Park, Richmond, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 25.
• Second Helpings summer cookout, Elizabeth Starr Academy, 301 North 19th, 1 to 3 p.m., July 26.

Harlin said thousands of people in the Reid service area may qualify for HIP or other coverage programs. She noted that documentation needed at the sign-up sessions includes a photo ID, birth certificate and the last 30 days proof of income.
