Annual Art Show at Prairie Days

Darke County Fair visitors watch as Selena Burk, Kay Kress and other artists create art work that they may show at the Greenville  Art Guild's 40th Annual Art Show, September 26 through September 30 at Shawnee Prairie on State Route 502 west of Greenville.

The Greenville Art Guild will hold its 40th annual art show September 26 through September 30 at Shawnee Prairie Nature Center, 4267 State Route 502, Greenville, Ohio. Area amateur, professional or student artists (age 14-22) will exhibit their original artwork in the following categories: drawing media, oil, acrylics, pastel, water media (transparent watercolor and aquatic medium), mixed media, photography, miniatures, three dimensional (pottery, sculpture, jewelry, textiles, stained glass, and beautiful photographs.
We are excited to announce that Dan Woodson, an accomplished artist from Indiana, will be our judge this year. Dan was instrumental in starting the Indiana Plein Air Painters association in 1998. He conceived and was part of the "Painting Indiana Project" and he founded the new Richmond Art group in 2011.

The awards presentation and reception will be September 25 at 7 p.m. The show will open to the public beginning with Prairie Days on September 26 and ending on September 30. All artwork must be picked up between 5-7 p.m. on September 30.
