The Preble County Art Association and the Preble County Pork Festival have teamed up once again to present Oinkers for Art. Pigs are being painted on August 27th from 8am-1pm at the Eaton Earlybird Farmer’s Market. Selected teams this year include: Essence of Wellness, Preble Trails, Preble County District Library, Summit Chiropractic, Blue Star Mothers of America, Greenbriar Senior Campus, Spicy Bois, and painter Hannah Wojcik. Painted pigs will be displayed along the parade route, then it is off to the races as they will be moved to the fair grounds in front of the Rotary Junction for voting on Saturday, September 17th.
The winning pig will earn its painter $100, with 2nd place earning $75, and 3rd earning $50. Winners are determined by votes earned at the Pork Festival. Each pig will have its own penny voting bin where voters can cast a few cents or a few bucks for their favorite pig. All pigs will be up for auction on the 17th at Rotary Junction immediately following the announcement of awards at 5pm.
