GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week they've selected:
Bentley is a 1 year old terrier mix. He is tan with short hair. He is a super friendly guy who loves to play. He loves his toys and walks well on a leash. He only weighs around 20 pounds. He will make a wonderful loyal friend and companion. He is current on his shots and is ready for a new home.
Rover is a 7 month old Walked coon dog. He is tri-color with short hair. He is a friendly dog but a little timid. He will take a special person to adopt him. He will make a nice friend and companion. He is current on his shots and is ready for a new home.
They also have a black and brown Lab, a couple coonhounds, a couple of mountain Curr’s, a terrier and they will have 6 boxer mix puppies ready for adoption on January 10 at noon. They will be 8 weeks old and they have males and females. They also have cats and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
2017 dog license are in and ready to go. They can be purchased at Ace Hardware in Greenville and Versailles, Harry Birts store in New Weston, Marsh Hometown Market in Union City, Osgood State Bank, Pattys IGA in Bradford, Suttons Super Valu in Arcanum, Farmers State Bank in New Madison, and Ansonia Auto Parts in Ansonia. They can also be purchased at the Auditor’s Office and the Animal
Shelter.
