GREENVILLE - Zechar Bailey Funeral Home joins a growing community of individuals, organizations and businesses in supporting Empowering Darke County Youth Programs. Phillip Pierri, Location Manager, said they appreciated the support they receive from the community and wanted to give back.

“The Empowering programs are a good way to do this,” he said. The Empowering Board, tutors and students appreciate Zechar Bailey’s support.

Empowering Darke County Youth was organized in March 2016 to help children in grades kindergarten through four who are struggling in the basics. Since then, the organization has helped 43 students in its Summer Tutoring and 79 students in its After School Programs.

This summer, 71 students, grades K-6, have requested tutoring help, a jump of more than 65 percent over 2016. Empowering Darke County Youth needs help to meet this need in the community. Please consider a donation to P.O. Box 1113, Greenville 45331 or volunteering to help, at empoweringdarkecountyyouth@gmail.com. Like and message Facebook Empowering Darke County Youth.

The Empowering Mission: Empowering Darke County Youth provides After School and Summer Tutoring programs to assist students in the areas of language arts and math with the goal of Strong Students for a Strong Community.
