Ben Selhorst of North Star Hardware & Implement Co. is shown giving a donation to Steve Litchfield, financial officer for Darke Co. Special Olympics. The year round Darke County Special Olympics program serves special needs athletes competing at the local, area, and state levels in basketball, cheer leading, bowling, power lifting, softball, soccer, Unified golf, swimming, and track & field. Presently Unified Golf and softball are the sports of season. The program is led, organized and coached by volunteers giving of their time.
