The Village Singers, an Arcanum-based community choir, provided Christmas music entertainment at various places this past season. The Village Singers organized over 25 years ago when a group of alumni choir members from Arcanum High School decided to get together and sing. At one time there were around 50 people singing in the group. Changes have occurred and people have aged, but about 20 die-hard members still get together, under the direction of Rosanna Bogan, to provide some Christmas cheer wherever they can.
The 2017 performances included Brookdale of Greenville (Nov. 30), 1st United Methodist Church of Greenville (Dec. 1), The Village Green of Greenville (Dec. 5), Rest Haven of Greenville (Dec. 8), and caroling in Ivester Park for the Arcanum Celebration of Lights & Santa Parade (Dec. 9).
